Trip information

The Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast are the two jewels of the Campania coast. Two coasts suspended between land and sea surrounded by the most beautiful natural landscapes in Italy. Sorrento, overlooks the Gulf of Naples. Its evocative position in front of Capri and its Faraglioni makes it rich in a poetic atmosphere, thanks also to its historic baroque buildings. Mirroring Sorrento, exactly on the other side of the peninsula we can find  approximately 50 km of coastline, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997: the Amalfi Coast. From Positano to Vietri sul Mare, from Naples to Salerno, the coast that takes its name from the biggest and artistically most important village, Amalfi, is a succession of villages overlooking the cliff almost as if suspended between sky and sea. Driving  along the narrow roads and hairpin bends that connect one village to another you can enjoy a breathtaking view; stopping in Amalfi, Positano means to dive  yourself in this surreal reality made of colors, scents and flavors. Walk through the alleys that slope down to the sea until you reach the coast, letting yourself be enchanted by the scent of limoncello and captured by the irresistible local flavors.  An itinerary designed to let you discover one of the most famous and elegant locations in Italy , its beauties and local products, leaving you the time to admire and experience the sea, the most played and sung by Italian music.

On board an Amalfi boat you can be enchanted by a panoramic ride along the coast, admire its natural wonders, including the Natural Arch and the Faraglioni, swim or snorkel or relax on the shores of secluded beaches. Once everyone has boarded and had a short briefing you will depart west towards Positano. The route will take you along the most beautiful beaches of the Amalfi Coast, close to natural rock arches and sea caves, giving you the opportunity to admire the ancient watchtowers that dot the entire length of this coast. You will stop at beaches reachable only by sea and you will have time to snorkel or swim in crystal clear waters and caves. Not far from the starting point, immediately after leaving the center of Amalfi, you approach the Grotta di Sant'Andrea, an enormous natural sea cave full of stalactites named after the patron saint of Amalfi (Andrea). Then, once you have passed the beaches of Duoglio and Santa Croce, you will see the "Lovers’ Arch", a natural rock arch created millions of years ago by the erosion of the sea whose shape resembles two elephants in the act of kissing. Shortly afterwards you will sail past the ancient seaside village of Conca dei Marini, passing near Sophia Loren's villa and seeing the historic hotel "Il Saraceno" located on La Vite beach. Here you can also enjoy a breathtaking view of the Santa Rosa Monastery, a former convent now transformed into a luxury hotel, once home to Dominican nuns. Once past the coast of Conca dei Marini you will enter its western basin, where you will have a beautiful view of the villages of Furore and Praiano and the islands of Li Galli and Capri, together with the famous Faraglioni. Further inside this basin you will find the small Runghetiello cave and its tiny beach, where you will anchor for a swimming or snorkelling break. You will then reach the famous Furore Fjord, the only natural fjord in Italy and home to the international diving competition "MarMeeting": every year in July, professional divers from all over the world compete by jumping from the top of the bridge which is 28 meters high. Sailing a little further to the town of Praiano you can closely observe a larger sea cave, the Africana Cave, where the water has a characteristic blue color thanks to the singular refraction of light.
