In the morning you will join a Sicilian street food lesson where you can learn the secrets of preparing some of the delicacies of Sicilian street food and then make them at home. During the Cooking Class you will learn how to cook traditional dishes in a simple way: the warmth of Sicily will envelop you with its colors, aromas and scents with an ancient flavor. Seasonal, first-class and locally sourced ingredients will make your meal uniquely delicious. Lunch includes two courses: the famous Sicilian arancini and for dessert the renowned cannoli, both symbols of Sicilian gastronomy. The Cooking Class will be a sensory, pleasant, rewarding and above all satisfying experience. A local wine will be selected for you to enhance and accompany the tasting of the dishes you have made. Arrival to Siracusa. Spare time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2:
The morning will begin with a one-hour velobike tour, the most practical and comfortable way to enjoy an overview of all the beauties of this city rich in history. Exploring the labyrinthine alleys and passing through the pedestrian area of the city, you will touch key points such as Piazza Emanuele Pancali, the Temple of Apollo and Athena, the Fountain of Diana and the Cathedral of Syracuse. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon you will enjoy a boat tour of the island of Ortigia. You will sail in the Ionian Sea to discover the monumental heritage of the historic center of Syracuse from the sea. During the cruise, you will be able to contemplate both its monuments and the extraordinary natural places that characterize the area. You will skirt the island of Ortigia and you will be able to see the Venetian Palace, the Umberto I Bridge, the Spanish walls, the ancient Bourbon prison and the Castle of Maniace. You will have the possibility to admire the Gothic-style exterior of the fortress, built in the thirteenth century on commission of Emperor Frederick II. Free evening. Overnight at the hotel.
